Harriet Beamer Strikes Gold

Harriet Beamer is always up for an adventure, her and her hound Humphrey, but since she has moved in wither her son & daughter in law her adventures seem dim. She doesn't even have room for her beloved salt and pepper shaker collection. She's lonely and misses home. Her friend Martha, however, is coming to visit so maybe things will get better. While Harriet is waiting on Martha's visit, she meets Lily, a dark teenager who tells her a story of how her mom died & her dad is depressed because he has no work. He wants to lease a Gold Mine but doesn't have the money. That strikes Harriet's attention, her mind has been on Gold lately. It's an offer she can't refuse. But is this a scheme or for real...?

You'll just have to read the book to find out!

This book is an awesome read. Harriet is a witty, funny Grandma who has a hound who loves doughnuts & she wears converse sneakers. She's hilarious. I'm so glad I got this book. I would recommend it to anyone!!
