Love Without End by Robin Lee Hatcher

Love Without End (Kings Meadow Romance, #2)Love Without End by Robin Lee Hatcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love Without End is a story of hope and the belief that love can still truly exist.

Kimberly Welch lost her husband to a heart attack. In the blink of an eye, he was gone. Now slowly, day to day, she feels as if she's losing her daughter as well. In three years, Kimberly has gone from Seattle socialite to Kings Meadow charity, and her daughter isn't doing well with the changes.

Chet Leonard lost one of his sons in a car accident, and then his wife left him not long after. Abandoning him and their two other sons. He tries to keep his mind on the family ranch day to day just to get by, but the hurt still lives wild inside.

Then Chet is called to help Kimberly's daughter tame her horse, and everyone begins to get more than they bargained for. It really gets that way when Chet's Nana Anna shows up. Eighty-four, but you wouldn't know it, Anna sees the bloom of love between the two, and she's knows just what to do. Nana Anna has a certain magic, a magic that two single parents could really use. Magic, that creates the courage, to build something new from the ashes of tragedy.

I loved this book. It was hard for me to put down, once I got started. I identified with Chet and his hurt and I felt for Kimberly. I knew from the get, that these two should be together. It was just very apparent. It was an amazing story of love, forgiveness, and hope. A little of what this world needs.

Normal Barbie is Here!

The Lammily Doll a.k.a. Normal barbie is here. She is available online for about 25 dollars. This doll was an art idea, to make barbie be "normal". The doll has what should be normal proportions for a 19 year old woman. This is based on data from the CDC (Center for Disease Control). Lammily doll comes with an expansion pack of stickers. These stickers include: scars, bruises, stretch marks, glasses, moles, tattoos, and etc.

Is this a good idea? I believe so. It can teach little girls that not all girls are perfect. Some will have scars or etc. But just because we have these, does not mean we're not beautiful girls.

Nicholson: A Biography by Marc Eliot

Nicholson: A BiographyNicholson: A Biography by Marc Eliot

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jack Nicholson. A huge name in Hollywood. Linked to famous movies such as The Shining, and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest,
was once a normal boy from New Jersey with dreams to be famous. Then a normal man, living in LA, trying to find his way to stardom. Marc Eliot paints a intimate portrait of the life of One of Hollywood's elite.

I'm not a huge fan of biographies. It takes me forever to read them. It wasn't that this one wasn't well written, it's that way with all biographies. I'm a fan of Mr. Nicholson, but not as big as my mom. She is mainly the reason I choose this book. I plan to give it to her as a gift.

New York Times bestselling author Marc Eliot has had his books translated into more than a dozen languages in countries all over the world. They include biographies of Cary Grant, James Stewart, Clint Eastwood, Phil Ochs, and Steve McQueen.

Nicholson is his twenty-fifth book.

Motherless by Erin Healy

MotherlessMotherless by Erin Healy

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Marina has spent her whole life, mothering her little brother Dylan, after her mother's presumed suicide seventeen years ago. After all, they have to call it a suicide. They have no body and she had a past of mental illness. That's all she's known. Untill one day her father gets into a car accident, that whisks him away from their world. Now Marina is trying to figure out how she and her brother will survive. They are in danger of losing their house on top of dealing without both parents. As she searches for the answers, secrets begin to be revealed. Dark, hideous secrets. And the answer to why her mother's body was never found. These secrets cast a dark shadow on her father, Garrett.

Garrett, being stuck between the two worlds, wishes he had the courage to tell his kids the truth so they wouldn't find out this way. Being too late, and not knowing wether he's alive or dead, Garrett watches as the secrets flow out. Like the waves on the beach where the lies began.

I really liked this book. It didn't turn out the way I thought it would. At times, I was confused at what was happening, but just as quickly as I was confused the answers came to me. I think it was an amazing book and a must read for suspense lovers.

Shovel Ready by Adam Sternbergh

Shovel Ready: A Spademan NovelShovel Ready: A Spademan Novel by Adam Sternbergh

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Spademan is a garbage man. Only now, he takes out a different kind of garbage.

It's post-apocalyptic New York. After the dirty bomb hit Times Square. the rich are in the beds, tapped out and living their fantasies. The not so rich are toughing it out. All you have to do is call Spademan to take out the person you want gone. Pay him, and lose his number.

Someone wants Spademan to take out a famous evangelist's daughter. Spademan must navigate between the tapped out world and the real world to figure out the story behind this hit, and decided what's the right thing to do.

This story was ok. It was a little hard for me to read. I mean there are no quotation marks for conversations, so sometimes it got a little confusing. The story line was good for a nerd like me, but it was sometimes hard to follow because of the layout of the book. Otherwise a good story.
