When Tiadone was born, her parents had 2 choices: Leave her in the wilderness to die or raise her as a male. In order to live in this community Tiadone must suppress her female instincts and act as a man would. Firstborn females are not allowed in the community. To make things worse, she has felling for her best male friend that only girls should have...Can she stand up to her leaders for the right to live as a female?
I really couldn't get into this book. It was hard for me to follow. I'm sure, however, that others would enjoy it.
