A Table By the Window by Hillary Manton Lodge

Juliette D'Alisa is the youngest heir to a French-Italian Restaurant & Food Writer. Sorting through her recently passed Grandmother's possessions, she finds a photo of interest. The man in the photo looks an awful lot like her brother Nico. Juliette seeks to find the truth behind this photo and her grandmother's past, all the while trying to keep it from her nosy family. Starting a long distance relationship only seems to complicate things. Will she have the strength to make tough decisions and unveil the truth behind her family's past?

I LOVED this book. I didn't want to put it down. I was disappointed in how it finished until I flipped a few pages and found and excerpt from the next book. I was thrilled when I saw that the story continues. I can't wait to read that one!

Critical Condition by Richard L. Mabry M.D.

Dr. Shannon Fraiser was having a nice quiet dinner with colleagues when a murder occurred. Right on her front lawn. The murder starts a string of mysteries unraveling Shannon's life. All the while Shannon is struggling with an event in her life, much like the murder on her front lawn.

Can Shannon overcome her fears from the past and work through the chaos ever present in her life now?

I really enjoyed this book. It's quite a page turner. Dr. Mabry has a way of mixing suspense and medical aspects that makes the story seem real. I couldn't put it down!
