Sarah is a senior at Kentlake, and she's deciding to possibly go to Mills Girls College on a scholarship. An avid poetry lover she's considering going into creative writing. That is until she walks into poetry class one day and meets Mr. Haddings, a Student-Teacher from nearby University of Washington. Suddenly life at the U makes more sense. Developing feelings for him, she tries to convey it to him through her poetry journal. Convinced he feels the same for her, she writes a poem to finally state her feelings once and for all. Setting off for school one rainy morning, she has the poem tucked safely in her back pocket ready to let him know!

Mr. Haddings knows Sarah has feelings for him, but he needs to set her straight. They can't have a relationship, even if she's 18. He's a student teacher and that could put his carrer at stake. He's got to set her straight soon. So he sets off for Kentlake one rainy morning, his mind on ways he can let her down gently. Getting distracted during the drive, he takes his eyes off the road for a few seconds. A few seconds that changed his life and not for the better. He feel a thump on his car, stops and sees a body in the road. That body turns out to be Sarah...

I loved this book. I couldn't stop, just having to know if Sarah survives and what happens from there. I was amazed at the story and how it gripped me. I'm glad that I got it.

The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane by Alex Irvine

The Secret Journal of Ichabod CraneThe Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane by Alex Irvine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ichabod Crane, thrown into modern day Sleepy Hollow after two centuries of slumber, keeps a journal. His thoughts about the new world and cases that he and his new partner, Abigail Mills, are working on.
Thoughts on today's:
Technology
Fashion
Language
Sports
and etc.

Thoughts on how he is one, of the two Witnesses and how he takes that postitin very seriously.
Thoughts on his wife, Katrina, and how he misses her.

If you're a fan of the Hit Television show, then this is a great book to have.

I loved this. I love books that are like journals, I think it's really creative how the authors can completely make you believe that the character really wrote these things. I was always fascinated by the Sleepy Hollow tale, but with the help of movies and now this show, I've become even more enthralled in it. I love how the tale has evolved over time.

NIV Once-A-Day Bible

Once-A-Day Bible for Women-NIVOnce-A-Day Bible for Women-NIV by Anonymous

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

About a year ago I got the Pink bible from Zondervan and I adore it. Turns out my younger sister adores it as well, so when I saw this, I had to get it for her. She's not yet a woman, but she's a young lady. At almost 15, my sister is a beautiful young christian who truly loves God. I think she just about cried when I gave her this. This is what she had to say about it:

"I LOVE MY BIBLE! I really love how I can read my bible everyday and it brings me closer to God. I like how it serperates the days and verses. This is the best gift my older sister gave me!"

If you have a beauitful young or older woman in your life, I recommend this as a gift. It's perfect!

Willie's Redneck Time MachineWillie's Redneck Time Machine by John Luke Robertson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Willie's Redneck Time Machine is one of the books in a four book series by Willie's son, John Luke Robertson.

The four books are:
Willie's Redneck Time Machine
Phil & the Ghost of Camp Ch-Yo-Ca
Sin in Space
Jase and the Deadliest Hunt

I got this book for my 14 year old sister, who is a big Duck Dynasty fan. I really thought she would enjoy this and apparently she did. This is what she said:

"I LOVE my Duck Dynsty book. I really liked the story about John Luke time traveling to Willie's prom. I love how he really got into telling the story. It was almost as if he was really there! I'm so glad I read this book."

I have a second copy of this book I intend to give away for free. If you are interested in this e-mail me: darylswalker69@gmail.com or visit my blog: www.lifeisbutadream22.blogspot.com

When Ichabod Crane is ressurected from his grave more than two centuries, after being a soldier in the colonial army and being killed in battle, he partners with Detective Abbie Mills from the Sleepy Hollow Police Department to fight evil forces that have taken hold of the town. He recieves a message from his wife Katrina telling him he needs to retrieve the Congressional Cross he was awarded by the Second Continental Congress. There's just one problem. Ichabod died before he could recieve his medal. Together Ichabod and Abbie set out to discover the mystery behind this medal he was to recieve and why it is important that he retrieve it.

Facing a coven of witches, who also need these medals to bring back their leader, Ichabod and Abbie fight for the good of Sleepy Hollow.

I LOVED this book. I didn't watch the first season of the show, but after reading this book, I am an avid watcher of the television series. If you are into paranormal/fantasy books, this is the book for you!
