Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Angel is a soiled dove in California in the year 1850. A time when men would sell their soul for gold, & women sold their bodies just to survive. Angel was sold into prostitution as a child. She expects nothing but the worst from men, after all her father didn't even want her. Along comes Michael, who just knows that Angel is the one he is supposed to marry.

Michael saves Angel from the ugliness of the brothel she was working in, but he can't save her from herself. Over and over again Angel leaves Micheal, but he goes right back and gets her. Until the finally time. Angel becomes a new person. Finally giving into God's love, and realizing that she doesn't have to resort to her old ways to survive. Will it work for Micheal and Angel? Read the book to find out...

I was amazed by this story. I couldn't put it down. I received it on a Wednesday, & finished it Saturday night! There is so much truth behind this story & the characters just draw you in... I would recommend this book to any book lover!

*I received this book for free from Waterbrook in return for my review.*

Robert Griffin III by Ted Kluck

Robert Griffin III exploded on the NFL scene with style & flair that was anything but typical. With a Heisman Trophy under his belt, Robert otherwise known as RG3, entered the NFL under a spotlight that would make others buckle under pressure. Then the questions began. Could he play as well professionally as he did in College? Could he take his team to the Superbowl?

Follow Ted Kluck as he shows RG3's determination & skill. How his father helped shape who he is & how he has faith through it all.

I like RG3 but I just could not get into this book. To me it was more stats than about his life & it was too many numbers for me... I just can't take that much information in. This book would be good for someone like my brother who thrives on stats. I also think it would be great for any football fan.

Sisterchicks:On the Loose by Robin Jones Gunn

Meet the Sisterchicks: Quiet mother, Sharon & Former Wild child mother, Penny. These moms have been friends for 20 years & their friendship is about to take an interesting leap. Penny makes a plan for the moms to take a "post-children" trip, to Finland. But when it comes down to actually taking the trip Sharon is nervous, Finally she gains up the courage & off the Sisterchicks go on a crazy adventure. Here they meet interesting people & learn more about each other that they never knew.

I really like this book, I find it hard to put down. I really like the fact that Penny's name is Penny Lane, so wherever she goes people are making Beatles jokes.  I would recommend this book to any woman, any age, who has a zest for life!

*I received this book free from Multnomah Publishing in exchange for my review.*

Being Stalked by Obama??

After the crazy car chase in D.C. yesterday, the details of the Lady are coming out. She was said to have had a history of mental illness.. This tells it here...

This Article doesn't give very much of her background but I thought it was interesting to say the least.
